Surrey Police is appealing for the public’s help in identifying the man in these CCTV images.
Officers in Mole Valley would like to speak to him in connection with a distraction theft in Dorking high street on Tuesday 19 April.
It is reported that at around 4.30pm a man entered a shop on the high street and asked a member of staff behind the desk for a drink of water. The member of staff fetched the man some water and he then left the store. Shortly after she realised her mobile phone was missing from the desk.
PC Michael Vaccaro from Mole Valley Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “I would like to speak with this man as I believe he could hold information vital to our investigation.
“If you are the man in this CCTV image of you know who this man is please get in touch with us.”
