Surrey Police is appealing for help in finding a missing teenage girl from Shepperton.

Ayan Omar, 16, was last seen at her home address in Shepperton around 1pm yesterday (24 April).

Ayan, who is Somalian and also goes by the name Mary, is described as black, 5ft 7 tall, with curly, shoulder-length, reddish black hair. She was wearing a black dress when she went missing.

Ayan is known to frequent the Hounslow, Feltham and Southall areas, and various checks and searches are currently being carried out in these locations.

Officers are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare due to her age and the length of time she has been missing and are urging anyone who has seen Ayan, or with any other information, to get in touch straightaway.
