Could you hold the key to identifying these two men?
Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at a jewellers in Horley.
Officers were called to the Magpie Jewellers in Victoria Road, Horley at around 9.25am on Wednesday, 13 April following reports that an armed robbery had taken place.
Two men entered the store and threatened a member of staff with a firearm before stealing a number of items. Although enquiries to establish exactly what was taken are continuing it is believed that a large amount of jewellery was stolen. It is also believed the owner of the jewellers was assaulted leaving him with injuries to his face.
Police have this week released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with the incident as they believe they may be able to provide vital information to assist with this ongoing investigation.
PC Steve Pearman said: “This was a malicious attack on a local business that has left one of the victim’s feeling understandably anxious. If anyone was in Horley at the time of the incident and believes they saw something, or knows who the two men in the CCTV stills are, we urge you to come forward. You could have the key to putting the offenders behind bars.”
Officers are continuing to carry out a number of enquiries as the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any other information is asked to contact Surrey Police on 101, quoting incident reference P16082043 or report it online at https://my.surrey.police.uk/
