The Mayor of Surrey Heath Councillor John Winterton, supported by Service personnel and local veterans raised a flag in support of the forthcoming Armed Forces Day.

Following a prayer delivered by the Reverend Mark Wallace, in a heavy rain shower, the flag was raised outside Surrey Heath House in Knoll Road.

In addition to Council Staff, Local Councillors and Representatives of The Royal British Legion, attendees included:
