Thousands of suspected nitrous oxide capsules found following test purchase operation in Camberley
An investigation is underway after thousands of suspected nitrous oxide capsules were found at a shop in Camberley following a test purchase operation last Thursday (9 February).
The discovery was made after Surrey Heath neighbourhood officers carried out the operation around 2.30pm at Dimons Convenience Store in Frimley Road.
Surrey Heath Neighbourhood Inspector Bob Darkens said: “I would like to reassure Surrey Heath residents that any information we receive about the sale or use of illegal substances in our local communities will be acted upon thoroughly and swiftly. I would also like to remind owners of licensed premises that if they are caught selling illegal substances, they face prosecution and a review of their premises licence.”

*A 19-year-old man from Hounslow was arrested on suspicion of supplying a psychoactive substance in relation to the incident. He has been interviewed and released on bail, pending further enquiries, until 27 March.
*A 43-year-old man has been interviewed in relation to the incident and enquiries remain ongoing.
*Nitrous oxide was brought under the Psychoactive Substances Act 2016 (the legislation that banned “legal highs”) in the UK on 26 May 2016.
