Surrey Heath Borough Council has agreed to lease office and car parking space to South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS). This follows SCAS being awarded the non-emergency patient transport contract for Surrey, commencing 1 April 2017.
The space covered by the lease includes a vacant office in the Ian Goodchild Centre on Knoll Road, Camberley that will be used as rest room facilities by SCAS staff, and car parking alongside the Citizens Advice Bureau, which will accommodate ambulances and staff vehicles. The Citizens Advice Bureau has been offered alternative free parking in Knoll Road car park.
Two spaces for blue badge holders will be retained adjacent to the Citizens Advice Bureau and two new spaces created in the access road between the IGC and Disability Initiative building. In addition, the 10 spaces adjacent to the Disability Initiative building entrance will be designated blue badge holder spaces on Saturdays and Sundays.
