Can you help us identify this man?
Surrey Police would like to speak to this man in connection with an incident in which a vulnerable man from Fetcham was duped into handing over money for work to his loft which did not need doing.
Officers have released the e-fit in the hope that someone will come forward with some information which could help their investigation.
The conman targeted the victim at his address in Sherwood Close around 2pm on 18 February, telling him that he needed work to be carried out in his loft.
After persuading the victim to let him in, the fraudster went up into the loft before asking the victim to pay £10 for his services by debit card.
The victim gave the suspect £10 in cash but refused to give him his card details and the suspect left the address.
The suspect is described as white, in his 30s, around 5ft 5 to 5ft 6 tall and of a medium build with short black hair which was shaved on the sides. He was wearing a dark leather coat, dark trousers and dark shoes and was carrying an orange torch.
Investigating officer PC Joseph Brown said: “To target a vulnerable man and try and con him out of money for work which didn’t need doing in the first place is utterly despicable. We are hoping that someone will recognise this fraudster from the e-fit and provide us with the information we need to locate him. Please get us in touch with us if you know who this man is or you have any other information which could help us with our enquiries.”
