Man suffers serious head injury following assault in Guildford
Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses after two men were assaulted in Guildford in the early hours today (8 May).
One of the men suffered serious head injuries as a result of the incident, which took place in New Cross Road, Stoughton, just after 4am.
The men were attacked by a group in the street. Both victims were taken to hospital and are still receiving treatment.
Following the incident, a thorough search of the area was made by officers, and three persons have been arrested. All three, who are all from Guildford, are currently in custody.
Officers have already carried out a number of enquiries and the investigation remains ongoing.
