Appeal for witnesses following serious assault at Knaphill pub
Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses following a violent assault in Knaphill, Woking this evening (Thursday 11 May).
At around 8.35pm officers we called to The Anchor pub following reports of a serious assault.
A man was taken to hospital with a serious injury to his head.
DC Mikki Mayhew from West Surrey Criminal Investigation Department, said: “This was an extremely violent and seemingly unprovoked attack and we need the public to come forward with any information to help us establish the circumstances around this incident.
“If you were in the pub and witnessed the assault or any events leading up to the assault and have not yet spoken to police please call us with any information.”

- A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently in police custody.
