Officers crack down on drug dealing in Esher
Acting on local intelligence, officers from Surrey Police arrested six people and seized a large amount of drugs in a crackdown on drug dealing in Esher this week.
Two warrants were carried out at residential addresses in Farm Road on Thursday 11 May and Haymeads Drive on Tuesday 9 May.
At the flat in Farm Road, officers discovered a large amount of what is believed to be Cannabis and other drugs paraphernalia which have all be seized for further analysis. Five men were arrested at the property on suspicion of possession with intent to supply. They have since been released from police custody but remain under investigation.
At the property on Haymeads Drive a small quantity of Class A drugs and other drug paraphernalia were seized and an x year-old female was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs. She has been released from police custody but remains under investigation.
The warrants were carried out by the Series Burglary and Organised Crime Group Team at Staines who were supported by neighbourhood and patrol officers and a police dog unit.
Elmbridge Neighbourhoods Officers were also in attendance to reassure neighbours and the local community and answer any questions.
PC James Early said: “This has been a successful operation made possible by the receipt of intelligence on drug activity from a number of sources. We are working hard to proactively tackle drug dealing throughout Elmbridge and I hope residents can feel reassured that we are taking positive action.
