ARC Eclectic, Sandown Park, Esher, Surrey, Friday 2nd – Sunday 4th June 2017
There’s a ground‐breaking new show coming up in June, ARC Eclectic, that aims to complete
the circle from past to present, showcasing design from the 20th and 21st century – where
classic complements Modernism; complexity meets simplicity. It promises to break the
rules, make the rules – mix up interior trends and take them further. Forget cutting‐edge –
it’s all about cutting your own edge!
A group of like‐minded, passionate individuals, with a lifetime of experience in retail,
publishing and event organising, have come together to create ARC Eclectic. “Design is much
more than form, function and material possession. It enriches our lives and satisfies our
souls,” explained David Rokov, Director of Pro Event Services. “Our aim in creating and
curating this event is to give you a surprise around every corner.”
Whether you’re keen to invest in an iconic piece of furniture from an exhibitor specialising in
your most loved past decade, or want to shape the future of design by buying or
commissioning an inspired piece created right now by the best, highly skilled, craftsmen of
today ‐ you’ll find both at ARC Eclectic.
Karyn Sparks, design buyer and Editor of VE Magazine added: “Eclectic – it’s that style that
comes about when you’ve got an ‘eye’ for the best but your taste just won’t be pigeonholed.”
Visitors can expect stylish furniture, beautiful lighting, stunning contemporary and vintage
art, funky glass, cabinets laden with curiosities, creative repurposing and a selection of well‐
made contemporary furnishings, eye‐catching wallpapers and ceramics.
There will also be a ‘Project Room’ where you can buy beautiful pieces that need
some TLC at a knock down price for you to weave your own magic, along with furniture
renovation and upholstery demonstrations to inspire. So, if you’re into Contemporary design,
Mid‐century, Mantiques, Decorative, or the curious and quirky, then you’ll want to get yourself
along to Sandown Park from Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th June.
Little extras offered to visitors include; Friday night visitors who attend the preview evening
will be welcomed with a prosecco cocktail, and every visitor will receive a discount voucher
equivalent to the cost of your entry ticket to use against purchases at the show, which can be
redeemed against any purchase, or combination of purchases, of £100 or more from the same
exhibitor. And, if you need a hand to get your precious new purchase to your car they have a
large crew of happy, helpful people on hand to help.
Sandown Park is widely regarded as one of the best indoor exhibition spaces in the South.
There’s plenty of free parking – over 2,000 hard standing parking spaces – and the venue is within easy walking distance of Esher Station.
