A man has suffered serious injuries following a single vehicle collision on the M25 earlier this morning (29 May).

A black BMW is believed to have collided with a street light before colliding with the central reservation barrier on the clockwise carriageway just after the junction with the M23 (J7) around 2.15am.

Two lanes remain closed while emergency services, including the air ambulance, fire and ambulance crews, deal with the incident.

Two occupants from the car have been taken to St George’s Hospital in Tooting. One of the occupants is described as having serious injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or saw the vehicle being driven prior to the incident, is asked to contact Surrey Police on 101, quoting incident reference P17129982.
