Appeal for information following aggravated burglary in Worcester Park
Police are appealing for information after two men were subjected to a violent assault in their home in Worcester Park.
The incident happened around 2.50am on Monday 29 May when two men entered the property in Mortimer Crescent, Worcester Park and hit one of the occupants over the head with a crow bar. The offenders then tied up both victims before making off with a quantity of cash.
The first suspect was around 5ft 3”- 5ft 4” in height and of average build. He was wearing a black coat, black furry jogging bottoms with elastic at the bottoms, a balaclava and gloves. He is described as speaking with a local accent but used slang like in East Enders.
The second suspect was approximately 5ft 8”-5ft 9” tall and of medium build. He was carrying a black gym bag with two zips and was wearing a black coat, ski mask with the eyes cut out and gloves. He spoke in a lower tone. It is possible there was a third male suspect although there is no description of him.
DC Elliott Abdo said: “This was a vicious attack on two men which has left them both feeling extremely shaken and caused them considerable distress. One of the men also needed hospital treatment for a head injury sustained during the incident. We are carrying out a thorough investigation to find those responsible and we are appealing for anyone who has information to do the right thing and call us so we can bring the offenders to justice.”
