“We are deeply saddened and angered by the horrific attack that took place on Saturday evening in the London Bridge and Borough Market areas of London which killed seven and injured many more.

“We strongly condemn these cowardly acts of violence on innocent people and our prayers are with them, their families and loved ones.

“We are proud of the emergency services who were at the scene within minutes. They worked throughout the night to help the injured and to make Londoners and visitors to the city safe and secure.

“Violence and terrorism has no religion, no justification and no place in the peaceful Islam.

“Surrey Muslim Association will be holding a prayer vigil at 9pm on Wednesday 7 June 2017 at Shah Jahan Mosque, Oriental Road, Woking. All are welcome to attend.”
