Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Thames Ditton earlier today (Wednesday, 14 June).

The collision, which took place between 8.30am and 8.35am by the Shell Service Station on Cholmley Road, involved a white Ford Transit and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a woman in her 80s, was taken by ambulance to St George’s Hospital in Tooting with serious head injuries and injuries to her leg.

Medics from the HEMS helicopter, which landed nearby, were also in attendance.

The road was reopened just after midday.
