Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses after a collision in Shepperton today (Friday, 16 June).

The collision, which involved a white Ford Mondeo and a Ford Focus police car, took place at the junction of Green Lane and Bruce Avenue at around 4.45pm.

The police car was responding to an emergency call and travelling on blue lights at the time of the collision.

The driver of the Mondeo, a man in his 30s, and the driver of the police car, a woman in her 20s, have both been taken to hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries.

The road remains closed whilst specialist investigators are carrying out an examination of the scene. It is expected to reopen in around one hours’ time (approximately just after 7pm).
