Did you witness collision involving car and cyclist in Reigate?
Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses following a serious collision involving a cyclist and a car in Reigate this evening, Wednesday 21 June.
At 8.10pm officers were called to Newdigate Road after a cyclist and a red Volkswagen Polo collided between junction of Clayhill Road and Bunce Common Road near Charmans Farm.
The injured cyclist, a man in his 50s, was travelling amongst a group of cyclists. He sustained serious injuries to his chest and head and has been taken to a hospital in London. The others were unharmed.
Newdigate Road will remain closed for a number of hours while police carry out an investigation of the scene.
