Seeking witnesses following motorcycle theft in East Molesey
Surrey Police is appealing for information after a motorcycle was stolen outside Neil’s Wheels bike shop on Walton Road, East Molesey at around 3pm on Saturday afternoon (17 June).
Two riders approached Neil’s Wheels on a black moped. The passenger got off and took a Honda motorbike that was parked on the pavement outside. The rider of the moped also rode off, but while turning on the pavement nearly collided with a man and two children, before turning down Matham Road onto Bell Road.
One of the riders is described as 5ft 3, small frame and skinny build, tanned white skin, black eyebrows and bright blue eyes, wearing a black full face helmet with a balaclava on and all black clothing. The second rider is described as 5ft 3 and of medium build, wearing a white helmet and balaclava, a white t shirt and blue baggy shorts.
Investigating officer, PC Kyle Wilkins said:
“I am interested in hearing from anyone that may have witnessed this incident, particularly the man who was with two children and was nearly hit by the moped rider. Likewise, if you recognise the descriptions of either of the suspects, or think you know the whereabouts of the stolen motorbike, please call us on 101 quoting crime reference 45170064267.
“Alternatively, you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 if you have information but don’t want to leave your name.”
