Two remanded following operation targeting modern slavery
Following a Surrey Police crackdown on suspected modern slavery, two men appeared in court yesterday (Monday, 26 June).
Officers executed warrants on three addresses in the early hours of Friday (23 June) morning. They were joined by officers and staff from the National Crime Agency, the Department of Work and Pensions, The Salvation Army and the Red Cross.
Laszlo Egeresi, 36 and Gabor Olah, 25 both of Molesey Road, Hersham have been charged with arranging or facilitating travel of another person with a view to exploitation. Both have been remanded in custody and will next appear at Kingston Crown Court on Monday, 24 July.
