Did you see a road rage incident in Tadworth?
Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses to an alleged road rage incident in Tadworth.
The incident took place in Chapel Road at around 8.20pm on Wednesday, 21 June.
It is reported that a silver Audi estate was seen to been driven in a dangerous manner and nearly collide with the victim’s vehicle.
Both stopped and the male driver of the Audi approached the victim, a woman in her 40s, and was racially abusive before pushing her numerous times. Upon leaving the scene, his vehicle collided with the victim, causing her to fall to the ground.
One of the victim’s legs was bruised during the incident.
The man is described as being a black man with a light complexion, between 28-32 years old, around 5ft 6” with a muscular build.
He was wearing a plain white t-shirt, grey shorts and spoke with a local London accent.
PC Todd McPhail, said “This was a particularly nasty occurrence which left the victim very distressed and it is lucky that she wasn’t seriously injured.
“Surrey Police will not tolerate such behaviour on the county’s roads and an investigation to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident is being carried out.
“I am urging any other road users or pedestrians who were in the vicinity at the time of this incident to think about whether they might have witnessed this reported offence or the manner of driving in the events around it.”
