Late night shopping comes to Camberley
Every Thursday from July, shoppers can shop until 8pm at dozens of retailers across Camberley town centre including House of Fraser, Primark, H&M, Next, Superdrug, Argos and TK Maxx.
More than 60 stores and restaurants will remain open until 8pm on Thursdays, giving shoppers the opportunity to pick up the latest offers and fashion finds for longer.
The late-night shopping evenings will include a host of fun entertainment including stand-up comedy, cupcake decorating, face painting, a spectacular science night, and more throughout the summer.
Plus, customers who spend £50 in the town centre between 5pm and 8pm on Thursdays during July will have the chance to win a £1,000 Gift Card every Thursday in July! Shoppers will need to fill in a coupon and validate their receipts at the Customer Service Desk to enter*.
Also, shoppers can park for £1 from 5pm at Main Square, The Atrium and Knoll Road car parks.
Lucy Boazman, Business Improvement District Manager, said: “The introduction of late night shopping to Camberley is another example of how, as a town centre, we are all working together to make Camberley a destination of choice for shoppers and visitors as well as a vibrant location for residents and businesses alike. Encouraging retailers to open later on a Thursday, helps to complete the loop of what is already a strong day and evening economy. It also provides additional shopping hours for the thousands of people who work in Camberley town centre and currently have to visit neighbouring towns when they need to shop after work. This is a really positive step for Camberley and one I hope our shoppers, businesses and local residents will support moving forward.”
Glen Fulton, General Manager at The Mall Camberley, said: “We can’t wait to launch our late-night shopping evenings. We know how frustrating it can be for shoppers who work during the day and can’t access the shopping centre in the evening – so we’re opening our doors until 8pm every Thursday from July. Plus, there will be some amazing entertainment and the chance to win a £1,000 Gift Card – now that’s definitely a reason to spend an evening at Camberley!”
Lee Papadopoulos, Centre Manager, The Atrium said: “With its fantastic range of restaurants and high-quality leisure attractions including Vue & Tenpin, Camberley has always had a vibrant night time economy; the launch of Late Night Shopping on Thursdays is the next positive step in ensuring that we respond to customer and retailer demand, and offer visitors the opportunity to shop longer, and enjoy the great atmosphere which builds as we move into the evening.”
Late Night Shopping will run from Thursday 6th July with events from 5pm to 8pm.
