The new draft of the Public Spaces Protection Order is now available at www.surreyheath.gov.uk/pspo. 

Following public feedback in response to the initial draft, largely raised on social media, SHBC has taken the opportunity to review the section relating to dogs.

We apologise for any confusion the initial draft order caused, and hope that the new draft clarifies responsibilities for dog owners.

Despite the high volume of comments on social media, relating in particular to the section on dogs, there have been very few formal responses to the consultation so far.

We would encourage all residents to send their comments and feedback on the updated draft Order to us directly at [email protected] as part of this final stage of consultation.

We welcome views from all parts of the community on this Order, which when enforced will allow the Council to address a range of low level anti-social behaviour relating to psychoactive substances, alcohol misuse, begging, responsible dog ownership and dog fouling.
