Did you call an ambulance from a pay as you go phone following a collision in Send in May?

Surrey Police is continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision involving a black Honda Civic and a motorbike and which took place in Send Barns Lane near the junction with Kevan Drive around 7.30pm on Wednesday, 10 May.

The motorcyclist, a 55-year-old man, was taken to hospital in London by air ambulance with head and leg injuries but sadly died on Thursday, 1 June.

Officers are trying to trace a witness who called an ambulance following the collision. The witness had left the scene prior to police arriving and they have not been identified. The phone which was used to call the ambulance service on the day of the collision was a pay as you go phone on the ‘3’ network. The phone was topped up on Sunday, 18 June at 10:33am at the Co-op store in St John’s Road in St John’s, Woking.

Sergeant Jamie Dann from the Surrey Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We are really keen to trace this witness as a matter of priority. “Our thoughts remain with the family of the motorcyclist at this difficult time.”
