We’re looking for witnesses after a 19-year-old man was assaulted on The Chase in Guildford on Sunday (16 July).

Officers were called to the scene at around 10.30pm on Sunday following reports of a disturbance.

Three 17-year-olds were arrested, including two women who have been released from custody and eliminated from enquiries with no further action. A 17-year-old man has been charged with section 18 GBH with intent and possession of a bladed article. He is due to appear in court on 14 August 2017.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Claire Phillips said, “This assault occurred late in the evening in a residential street and resulted in a young man being seriously injured. We are appealing for anyone who has any information about the incident to come forward by calling 101 and quoting reference 45170077162.”
