UPDATE: Witness who called ambulance following a collision in Send identified
The witness who called an ambulance from a pay as you go phone following a collision in Send in May has come forward thanks to the media appeal.
The collision involving a black Honda Civic and a motorbike, took place in Send Barns Lane near the junction with Kevan Drive around 7.30pm on Wednesday, 10 May.The motorcyclist, a 55-year-old man, was taken to hospital in London by air ambulance with head and leg injuries but sadly died on Thursday, 1 June.
Officers were trying to trace a witness who called an ambulance following the collision. The witness had left the scene prior to police arriving and had not been identified.
Sergeant Jamie Dann from the Surrey Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “The fact that the witness has come forward following the media appeal is great news and will really help with our ongoing enquiries.”
