PC Jenny Juffs (pictured) and the ASB Team have worked tirelessly to sort out the ongoing anti-social behaviour issues at a property in Barn Meadow, Bookham. Their efforts were rewarded this week when they went to Guildford Magistrates Court (2 August) to hear that a three month Closure Order had been granted on the property.

For several months officers have been receiving reports of excessive noise coming from the property including visits from large groups of people drinking and using foul language. There have also been reports of cars and motorbikes racing up and down the road and allegations of under-age people driving vehicles to and from the address. Neighbours have also had to put up with dogs barking loudly and aggressively for long periods of time as well as escaping from the garden and running out of control around the road.

Mole Valley Borough Inspector Karen Coyne said: “We’re so pleased we’ve been able to help the residents of Barn Meadow and put a stop to this anti-social behaviour which was making their lives an absolute misery. We’d like to thank the residents for their support and patience in bringing this case to court and we know they’re thrilled with the outcome – they were crying and hugging each other when we told them the good news.”

The Closure Order prevents anyone from remaining or entering the property for three months until 1 November 2017. Anyone who does so could be arrested.
