A man has been arrested on suspicion of running a brothel and modern slavery offences after Surrey Police officers were called to an address in Epsom yesterday afternoon (10 July).

Police were called to an address in the High Street following reports of a disturbance and furniture being thrown out of the window of a third floor flat.

Further enquiries led to an allegation that the premises was being used as a brothel. A 36-year-old man was arrested and remains in custody at this time.

A woman was taken to hospital to be treated for a cut to her arm but has since been released.
