Surrey Police was called following reports of a serious assault at an address in Warlingham yesterday evening (24 August).

Officers were called to the address in Boxwood Way around 7.10pm.

A woman was taken to hospital with multiple stab wounds to her abdomen, arms and legs. She has undergone surgery and remains in a serious condition.

A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempt murder in connection with the incident and remains in custody.
